D+ CRACK SEAL PASTE is a single-component, white, fibre-reinforced, high-performance acrylic emulsion polymer-based waterproof putty designed for interior and exterior building walls. It is a ready-to-use putty for filling cracks in interior and exterior plastered surfaces. The product provides excellent bonding strength, good flexibility, water resistance, an aesthetic white/cream appearance and durability.

It is designed for internal and external plastered brick masonry wall cracks up to 5 mm wide and for waterproofing and sealing cracks up to 5 mm before painting or waterproofing.

Application

D+ CRACK SEAL PASTE is suitable for:

• Internal plastered brick masonry wall cracks.
• External plastered brick masonry wall cracks.
• Waterproofing and sealing cracks before painting.
• Waterproofing and sealing cracks before waterproofing.

The maximum crack width specified in the datasheet is 5 mm.

Application Method

The surface should be free from dust, oil, grease and loose particles. The crack should be cleaned and developed into a V-shaped groove, followed by light cleaning with water.

The Crack Seal Paste should then be filled into the prepared crack, up to 3 mm thickness, using a putty knife. For porous surfaces, a primer prepared with Crack Seal Paste and water in a 1:1 proportion should be applied, and the crack paste should be filled while the surface is tacky.

Press the paste firmly into the crack using a spatula or putty knife and level it with the surface. Care should be taken to avoid cavities or bubbles. Allow it to set for 24 hours, then apply another coat.

Consumption / Coverage

The specified coverage is:

23–25 running metres per kg

for a crack of approximately 5 mm depth and 5 mm width.
