D+ MCW 1K PU is a high-performance, one-component, moisture-cured polyurethane-based waterproof coating. It is designed for waterproofing applications in shower recesses, bathrooms, laundries, decks, balconies and rooftops.

The product is suitable for waterproofing rooftops, balconies and terraces, wet areas under tiles in bathrooms and balconies, and external sides of buildings, wooden surfaces and sheet iron. It provides fast curing, excellent adhesion and resistance to water and UV, along with resistance to pedestrian and light vehicle traffic and low odour.

D+ MCW 1K PU forms a waterproofing layer with a minimum 1 mm dried film thickness. It can be applied using a brush or roller.

Surface Preparation

The surface must be dry, clean and hard and free from dirt, oil, paint and dust. Cracks or holes should be repaired before application. Surfaces should be even and smooth, and imperfections repaired with suitable mortar. Joints are to be sealed with D+ MCW 1K PU.

Priming

Before application, the surface should be primed using DFR 112/DFH 212. A roller brush can be used. The specified duration after primer application is a minimum of 3–4 hours and maximum of 48 hours.

Waterproofing Application

D+ MCW 1K PU can be applied using a brush or roller. A minimum dried film thickness of 1 mm is specified for the D+ MCW 1K PU layer.

Consumption / Coverage

The specified consumption is:

2 coats at a coverage rate of 1 litre per 0.8 m².

Allow 4–6 hours between coats and approximately 24 hours drying time before applying finished covering. Longer drying time may be required in adverse weather conditions.
