D+ WM-500 is a special synthetic resin-based waterproof coating with excellent flexibility and thixotropic nature, making it suitable for both vertical and horizontal surfaces. It is a single-pack, economical and pollution-free waterproof coating. Its white colour provides excellent UV resistance and solar reflectivity, giving a cooling effect through its reflective properties.

D+ WM-500 is designed for waterproofing roofs ranging from asphalt, asbestos and cement to concrete and terrazzo tiles. It is suitable for horizontal and inclined structures and can be used for roof slabs, terraces, balconies, sun shades and parapet walls. It also provides additional waterproofing and protection when used as a base or intermediate coat in brickbat coba / IPS flooring and can be used as a waterproofing membrane for traditional and inverted flat roofing systems.

The membrane can be applied to concrete, wood and metal surfaces, with a special primer required for metal. It can be applied to roofs with any extent of slope, provided the substrate is properly prepared, clean, dry and free from dust, rust and oil residue.

For metal surfaces, a suitable special/metal primer is required.

Application Method

WM-500 can be applied using a brush, roller or spray gun. For conventional roof waterproofing, surfaces should be properly cleaned and primed as specified in the datasheet before applying WM-500. For the membrane system, after the primer has completely dried, two coats of WM-500 are applied.

For asphalt surfaces, dilution of up to 20% for the first coat and 10% for the second coat is allowable. For spraying, WM-500 may be diluted with a little water.

Consumption / Coverage

The datasheet specifies that on average a smooth surface provides:

• First Coat: Approx. 30 sq.ft. per kg
• Second Coat: Approx. 27 sq.ft. per kg

Two coats produce approximately 300 microns DFT. Actual coverage depends on the nature of the surface.
