D+ ULTRACRETE 2K 113 – 2 Component Flexible Acrylic-Cementitious Waterproof Coating
D+ ULTRACRETE 2K 113 is a two-component acrylic polymer modified cementitious coating consisting of a liquid Part A acrylic emulsion and a powder Part B. When the two components are mixed, the material can be applied with a stiff brush, roller or trowel to obtain the required thickness. It is made from Portland cement, selected aggregates, additives and acrylic emulsion polymer as a binder.
After curing, D+ ULTRACRETE 2K 113 forms a tough, flexible and seamless waterproof membrane and acts as a water barrier to concrete and masonry surfaces. It is designed for concrete foundations, basement walls, lift pits, swimming pools, water tanks, reservoirs, concealed roofs, parking decks, bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, balconies, planters and other concrete, cement or masonry surfaces exposed to moisture.
Advantages
- Good adhesion to concrete and masonry substrates.
- Non-toxic.
- Provides a flexible and low-permeable coating.
- Excellent resistance to chloride-ion diffusion and carbon dioxide.
- Resistant to freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salts.
- Helps prevent carbonation of cement concrete.
- Provides excellent resistance to water ingress.
- Provides a slip-resistant coating.
- Provides waterproofing for concrete structures.
- Free from volatile organic compounds (VOC).
- Can be applied on damp surfaces.
Application
D+ ULTRACRETE 2K 113 is suitable for:
- Concrete foundations
- Basement walls
- Lift pits
- Swimming pools
- Water tanks
- Reservoirs
- Concealed roofs
- Parking decks
- Bathrooms
- Toilets
- Kitchens
- Balconies
- Planters
- Concrete surfaces exposed to moisture
- Cement surfaces exposed to moisture
- Masonry surfaces exposed to moisture
Application Process
Surface Preparation:
The surface should be thoroughly prepared mechanically. Dirt, dust and loose particles should be removed by air compressor or water jet, while oil and grease should be removed using degreasing solvents. Damaged surfaces should be repaired before application.
Mixing:
Shake the liquid component until homogeneous. Transfer the entire liquid component into a mixing vessel and gradually add the powder component while continuously mixing with a slow-speed mechanical mixer at 250–300 rpm. Mix for approximately 5–6 minutes until a homogeneous, uniform, free-flowing slurry is formed.
Application:
Pre-wet the application area thoroughly and bring it to a touch-dry condition. Apply using a stiff nylon brush. The first coat should be worked well into the substrate to fill small undulations. Apply the second coat 6–8 hours after the first coat, perpendicular to the first coat, and leave the completed application to air cure for 2 days.
Consumption / Coverage
The datasheet specifies an average coverage of approximately:
8–10 sq.ft. per kg in 2 coats on a smooth surface.
The stated dry film thickness is approximately 500–600 microns. Coverage depends on the nature of the surface.
