D+ Crack & Fix
- Categories: Waterproofing Coating
- Availability: In Stock
- Product Type: Variable
D+ CRACK & FIX is a room-temperature curing epoxy system suitable for use as a concrete primer, epoxy injection grout, epoxy mortar, repairing compound and as a binder between old and new concrete. Its low mix viscosity permits high filler loading and provides mechanical and chemical resistance properties. It is designed as a multipurpose system for various civil applications.
The system provides good vibration damping properties, excellent adhesion to metal and concrete, resistance to oil, fuels and many chemicals, very low shrinkage for good dimensional stability, and high mechanical strength in both tensile and compressive performance.
Advantages
- Good vibration damping properties.
- Excellent adhesion to metal and concrete.
- Resistant to oil and fuels.
- Resistant to many chemicals.
- Very low shrinkage.
- Provides good dimensional stability.
- High mechanical strength.
- Suitable for both tensile and compressive strength requirements.
- Low mix viscosity allows high filler loading.
Application
D+ CRACK & FIX is suitable for:
- Concrete primer
- Epoxy injection grout
- Epoxy mortar
- Repairing compound
- Binder between old and new concrete
- Grout
- Mortar/grout
- Self-leveling floors
- Waterproofing
- Sealing cracks in concrete structures
- Coating of civil structures
- Anti-corrosive coating for steel bars
Suitable Application Types
Primer:
For concrete and metal surfaces.
Mortar:
Used with filler as an epoxy mortar system.
Heavy Machinery Grouting:
Specified as a separate application with a higher filler proportion.
Surface Preparation
The surface must be clean, sound and dry. Dust, laitance, grease, curing compounds, bond-inhibiting impregnations, waxes and other contaminants must be removed. Concrete should be prepared to provide a laitance-free, contaminant-free, open-textured surface by shot blasting or equivalent mechanical means.
